Minot Area Mens Winter Refuge

The Minot Area Men's Winter Refuge is in need of volunteers to supervise the shelter overnight! If you are able to help, please contact Marsha at winterrefuge@srt.com!

Shifts are from 7:15pm - 7:30am - 2 people per shift - Shifts can be split into two shifts (7:15pm-1am and 1am to 7:30am)

Volunteer responsibilities at the Men's Winter Refuge include:

Welcome and check in residents as they arrive. Complete a search of belongings as well as pockets, waist band, pant legs. No item that can be used as a weapon is allowed, nor is alcohol. 

Monitor the security and safety of the facility, sleeping areas and bathrooms.

Quiet time 11pm.

Morning - make coffee at 5:30 and start waking residents at 6am. Each resident has chores to do before they leave. So they may have to be reminded. Bus leaves with the residents at 6:45 am
