Magic 60
Magic 60 is returning to Minot this Summer, thanks to the Minot Young Professionals and United Community Bank that have partnered together to bring back this great program for our community.

The purpose of Minot 60 is to engage community members in improving Minot, as well as making an impact on our community. Community members are asked to think of projects that add to the quality of life in Minot and present them to a judging panel, the only requirement is that all presentations must be made in sixty seconds or less. This year the format is changing to engage more community members and gather more excitement from the general public through an online submission and voting platform, where the number of Facebook Likes received by a participant’s video will be factored into their judging score.

Community members are encourage to submit project ideas that range from community art and music projects to events and charity programs. Once a community member submits their project idea, they will be invited to create their sixty second video and participate in Magic 60’s online voting period. A panel of community members will judge each project’s potential impact and level of community engagement and support to make funding decision in early August.

$5,000 has been raised for the Magic 60 pool with $2,500 from United Community Bank and $2,500 form Minot Young Professionals. We are so grateful for the support of United Community Bank and the ability to provide dollars to help better our community. With Magic 60 we are always so impressed with the caliber of project ideas and the impact the event has on the community. We look forward to making another impact on Minot this summer.

Individuals are encouraged to submit their project ideas by June 15th by emailing minotndyp@gmail.com, with a brief description of their project (150 work maximum) including a budget and their contact information. The online voting period for videos will begin on July 1st and will concluded July 31st with awards being announced in early August.  If there are any questions please reach out to the Minot Young Professionals at 701-303-0840, we are looking forward to your ideas and improving our community through Minot 60.
