News from YP!

Check Out Our New Site!
YP Minot launched a new site in November. The site is a great tool to help us keep members informed of the latest events, YP news, opportunities to get involved and much more. The responsive design allows desktop webpages to be viewed in response to the size of the device one is viewing with, meaning our site looks great on all devices and the design will change to best fit each. With the new site we also are able to highlight our sponsors. A big thank you goes out to Odney, a YP sponsor from day one, for designing and developing our new site. Be sure to check out the site and encourage others to stay up to speed and subscribe to our e-newsletter.

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – We will be ringing bells at Home of Economy on Tuesday, December 6th.  We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to complete one hour shifts this day.  The shifts will run from 10 am - 4 pm

Meals on Wheels – YP members deliver Meals on Wheels each Tuesday.  We are still looking for a few volunteers for December and the 2017 sign-up has also been set up.  Volunteers should be at the Parker Center downtown at 11:00 am to deliver meals and the route generally takes about 1 hour to complete.  If you are new to Meals on Wheels, please let us know and we can pair you up with someone that has done it before to show you the ropes!

Christmas Gifts – YP has volunteered to again “adopt” both families and individuals from the Minot Area Homeless Coalition and Kay’s Place to provide Christmas gifts for those in need.  In the past, we have had both businesses/organizations and individual YP members volunteer to provide these gifts.  We have been given a wish-list of sorts that helps make the buying process easier.  We currently have 5 families from the Minot Area Homeless Coalition and may have up to 5 girls from Kay’s Place to buy for.  Please contact Jessica Henderson (Jessica.henderson@fwbt.com) for more information or to sign up if you or your business/organization is interested.

The date has been rescheduled for the Tauros game! Join us on Friday, December 9th at 6pm at the Maysa Arena for a Minotauro Hockey game. We will tour the new facility and hear from a few of the players on what it is like to be a Minotauro. Afterwards we will enjoy the game. The Tauros will be playing the Bismarck Bobcats. Puck drops at 8:05.

Adults tickets are $14 and we plan to try to purchase tickets together so that we can all sit in the same section if possible. RSVP so we know to expect you!
