July 15 is Young Professionals Day!
Date
Jul 08 2016
The North Dakota Young Professionals (NDYP) works to attract, retain and engage the dynamic demographic of 21-41 year olds. On July 15 we will also join in a statewide celebration of the signed proclamation by Governor Dalrymple recognizing Young Professionals Day.
Young professionals represent 33.5% of North Dakota's population and play a significant role in the economic viability of the state. "Young professionals in North Dakota are engaged and dedicated citizens actively giving back through social, philanthropic, professional and civic development." Explains NDYP Coordinator, Laurie Morse-Dell. "This is a day for sharing their commitment to be forward thinking partners for the advancement and sustainability of their communities and all are welcome to participate."
The YP Day proclamation was spearheaded by the Bismarck Mandan Young Professionals Network. "Young professionals in Bismarck Mandan play a big role in the future of local business and add a lot to the vibrancy of our communities. The Bismarck Mandan YPN worked together with NDYP and local young professionals to create a day to celebrate the work and life that young professionals bring to our area. Giving back to the community has always been a focus of our network and our service project at historic Camp Hancock on July 15th is a way to do just that. We are excited about Young Professionals Day and look forward to continuing to help make our community a better place to live and work." Explained Stacey Thomas, President, Bismarck Mandan YPN.
July 15 was chosen in correlation with the ten year anniversary of the launch of NDYP and will be reflected in community service activities across the state by local YP networks. For more information on community events and how to get involved, visit
