North Dakota Young Professionals Recognize Capital Credit Union as 2016 Best Place to Work
Through the Best Place to Work awards, North Dakota Young Professionals Network (NDYP) recognizes businesses that provide high quality jobs and a work environment enticing to and in support of young professionals in order to support ongoing economic, workforce and community development initiatives across the state.
NDYP is pleased to announce the selection of Capital Credit Union as the 2016 NDYP Best Place to Work.

Capital Credit Union’s emphasis on company culture and the core value they call “Visionary” means that the entire team is united to move the organization forward by challenging each employee to stretch, grow and try new things. This year they implemented the Process Analysis and Optimization (PAO) program. Four groups of team members spent several months analyzing specific areas within the organization to identify areas of improvement both big and small. The key to the program – teams included staff from all areas of the organization who did not directly work in the area they were analyzing and specifically excluded senior management. The process encouraged team members to build leadership and analytical skills and provided fresh ideas that are now being implemented to strengthen the organization.

The runners up each showed commitment to the growth and professional development of young professionals as well as creative incentives that provide an engaging and meaningful workplace that young professionals crave.
North Dakota Young Professionals Announces Sundog as 2016 Best Place to Intern
Bismarck, N.D. – North Dakota Young Professionals Network (NDYP) recognizes businesses in the state that are going above and beyond to provide exceptional internship opportunities that educate and nurture the professional development of individuals along with providing critical workforce experience.
NDYP is proud to recognize Sundog Interactive of Fargo as the 2016 NDYP Best Place to Intern award recipient.
“The commitment to high quality internship opportunities is critical to NDYP’s focus on attracting, retaining and engaging young professionals across the state,” says Laurie Morse-Dell, NDYP Coordinator. “Sundog Interactive is an outstanding example of an internship experience that emphasizes true investment in young professionals and the greater community.”
Morgan Weiler, a marketing writer and social media intern at Sundog Interactive, nominated the organization for award. “I never get asked to fetch coffee or order lunch. I am an individual in this organization whose thoughts and opinions truly matter. Sundog knows that it is crucial for young professionals to receive an education outside of just school and strive to make it possible for us to be the best version we can be. My fellow Sundoggers want me to achieve and learn everything I can during my time there. Sundog not only supports my future as a professional… they take leaps and bounds to make it happen.”
Runners up for the 2016 NDYP Best Place to Intern include Applied Engineering (Bismarck) and Construction Engineers (Grand Forks). These companies stood out among nominations because of the level of responsibility delegated to their interns and the investment in their long-term professional development.
